Talented local dancer Lewis Smallman started dancing in 2011 with Arabesque Dance Academy, Broome Road, Hampstead and found he had a real flare for it.
His dance teacher; Joanne put his name forward for an audition with the ‘English Youth Ballet’ for their production of ‘Swan Lake’ at The Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton.
Lewis managed to secure a part in the production from 101 auditionees and only 40 places up for grabs after a two an a half hour audition.
In April 2012 Lewis entered a competition over three weekends consisting of Ballet, Acro and Modern coming 2nd, 1st and 2nd respectively and also picking up three trophy’s one for best acro solo one for best boy and one for most promising junior dancer.
