On the 12th August 2013 we received our periodical External Verifier visit from C.I.T.B (Cskills) to our centre.
We welcomed C.I.T.B External Verifier; Mr Gary Rushby on this occasion. A very friendly and approachable person who was able to answer many questions we asked him.
This visit is regrettably the last visit from C.I.T.B Startright will have for the immediate future. This is due to recent Government changes to vocational qualifications.
Unfortunately; for the time being; the C.I.T.B qualifications are not included in the Key Stage 4 Performance Tables: Inclusion of 14 – 16 Qualifications in 2014 and 2015. (To see these government lists click on Courses & Training then click on Edexcel BTEC Level 1 Diploma).
So; Startright is now providing and been accredited to deliver the Edexcel BTEC Level 1 Diploma (100 points for school league and attainment tables) if successfully completed by your student.
This was a sad day for us at Startright as we have had many good years; providing to our customers and delivering to your students the C.I.T.B Cskills CRT013 qualification and it has served us and many students well.
Now it’s time to move on and we look forward to working with our new awarding organisation Pearson Edexcel.
